Squarespace Circle Day 2026: New Tools and Features

This year’s Squarespace Circle Day unveiled a lot of surprises. Here is a list of some of the new features and tools available now, or being rolled out within the next few months.

New features and tools

Some of the tools mentioned that are currently available include:

SMS Campaigns: SMS offers a direct, personal way to connect with your audience and adds a powerful new channel to your marketing strategy, built directly into Squarespace. Create personalized campaigns, track metrics with real-time analytics, and coordinate your SMS sends, email marketing, and website content all in one place.

Image Studio: I mentioned this in my October newsletter which you can sign up for here - at the bottom of the page. Generate new images from a written description, edit an existing photo, and build a set of images that look like they belong together with Image Studio, Squarespace’s built-in AI image generator and editor.

New Commerce APIs: New Commerce APIs unlock new kinds of applications you can build on Squarespace. Now, you can manage and understand contacts, run discounts and promotions at scale, and offer payment plans to customers via the APIs.

New extensions: They’ve recently added HubSpot by Hotglue, Google Reviews and Facebook Reviews by Common Ninja, and more options to the Squarespace Extensions marketplace to help you connect Squarespace to the systems you already use.

What’s coming soon!

These new features will be rolled out in the next few months.

Customer Profiles: Customer profiles will bring together customer data from across the Squarespace ecosystem so you can understand each contact’s history, activity, and relationship with your business from a single location. In this convenient space, you’ll see contact details, phone numbers, total spend, order history, invoices, and more.

Drafts: At long last, you’ll soon be able to automatically save your website pages in Squarespace as drafts. Once released, you can take your time creating new designs and share them with clients for approval before you publish any changes.

AI Sections: AI sections will introduce a new code surface to help better connect site elements with advanced workflows, React components, CSS libraries, and compiled custom styles. Eventually, AI sections will also include conversational prompts and AI assistant chat capabilities.

Cart API: In addition to the new Commerce APIs, Squarespace will soon introduce a new Cart API to help you recover more abandoned carts from customers.
